E.A.R.R. (Emotional Abuse Recovery Resources) is a faith-based sanctuary founded by Arlene Blakeney. We provide resources, advocacy, and a safe “listening ear” for people reclaiming their voices after mental and emotional abuse.
The 3 P’s are the pillars of our recovery process: Prayer, Poetry, and Promise. We believe that by combining spiritual connection, creative expression, and biblical truth, women, men and the elderly can dismantle the effects of emotional abuse and rebuild their lives with “Grit-N-Grace.”
Absolutely. In our sanctuary, poetry isn’t about perfection; it’s about finding your voice. Whether you write one word or a whole page, we use creative expression as a “Power” tool to transform silent pain into audible strength. Is this group only for religious women?
We replace the lies of abuse with the “Promise” of God’s Word. We anchor our identity in the truth that we are not given the spirit of fear, but the of power, love, and sound judgement (2 Timothy 1:7) and the promise that we are carried through every season of life (Isaiah 46:4) Can I participate in “Prayer” if I’m struggling with my faith? Yes, We believe that God’s grace meets us exactly where we are. Our prayer pillar is a “soft place to land” offering spiritual covering for those who are weary, questioning, or simply in need of a “Listening Ear” for the Divine.
Yes. As a Director of Health Information Management, our founder, Arlene, understands the sacred importance of privacy. Your story and your identity are protected within our “Shield of Confidentiality."
It is our core philosophy. We believe healing begins when you are finally hard without judgment. We offer our ears to your story so you can begin to use your own voice again.
No. Our mission is rooted in the biblical call to serve, and our information, advocacy, and listening circles are free of charge. We believe that the path to healing should be accessible to anyone, regardless of their circumstances. Our goal is simply to help you reclaim your voice and heal along your journey. While our services are free, we do offer a curated collection of “Grit-N-Grace Comfort Items” on our website such as journals, specialized recovery tools, and inspirational keepsakes available for purchase to support your daily restoration.
No. We move at the speed of your comfort. Whether you need a place to listen in silence or you are ready to speak your truth, you are in control of your journey. We are here to simply “Lend an Ear” when you are ready.
Through our Aging Devoted Servants initiative, we provide specialized advocacy for the elderly who may be experiencing mental or emotional neglect. We believe in the dignity of every season of life, anchored in the promise of Isaiah 46:4.
Our website features a curated collection of Grit-N-Grace essentials from “Power & Sounds Judgement” journal and recovery candles to scripture- based affirmation decks. These are designed to turn your home into a sanctuary of peace.
